WMS Renaissance Program

 

Williamstown Middle School is proud to participate in the nationally recognized Renaissance Program, celebrating academic excellence, positive citizenship, and active participation in both school + community activities.

Students, staff, and community members are acknowledged for their achievements in academics, attendance, behavior, and involvement.

REQUIREMENTS

 

🕒 Attendance

  • No more than 2 unexcused absences

📚 Academics

  • Maintain a grade of 80 or higher

 

Williamstown Middle School utilizes the "RISE" acronym—Respect, Integrity, Self-Control, and Empathy—to foster a respectful and consistent school environment. This program guides staff and students toward academic and behavioral success, reinforcing the school's commitment to cultivating productive citizens.

REQUIREMENTS

 

🛡️ Discipline

  • No more than 1 lunch detention
  • No more than 1 after-school detention
  • No bus suspensions
  • No CARES referrals
  • No out-of-school suspensions

 

Membership Benefits & Rules

 

  • ID Stickers: Upon earning Renaissance membership, students will receive a sticker to place on the back of their ID. This sticker changes with each marking period to reflect their continued achievement.

 

  • Privileges: Membership offers students special school privileges, as well as access to exclusive celebrations and events throughout the year.

 

  • Timeline: Membership eligibility is established immediately following the end of the marking period and is final, with the exception of students ending the marking period with an incomplete grade.
