Changes to Student Information System

Dear Parents and Guardians,


We are writing to inform you that beginning in July 2025, our school district will transition from PowerSchool to a new Student Information System (SIS) called Genesis.

Genesis is a web-based platform used by many New Jersey school districts to manage student records and information. Starting with the 2025–2026 school year, you will use Genesis to access and manage your child’s school information. We believe this change will better serve our students, families, and staff.

What You Need to Know:
  • No action is needed from you right now.
  • This summer, you will receive an email from Genesis with instructions on how to set up your Parent/Guardian account.
  • The email will also include an invitation to a voluntary Parent Onboarding Event at Williamstown High School, where staff will be available to help you log in and get started with Genesis.
  • You will be notified to log in to your Genesis account to complete your student’s start-of-year forms, such as Emergency Contact Information and Policy Acknowledgements.
  • Once these forms are completed, your child’s class schedule/teacher assignment will be available in Genesis.

We understand that changes like this can be challenging, but we’re committed to making this transition as smooth as possible. We’re confident that you will find Genesis to be a more efficient and user-friendly system.

Please be sure to check your email over the summer for updates and instructions. If you need to update your email address, please complete an Email Change Request Form by June 30, 2025.
